Confirmation of NG tube placement in Critical Care - Learning materials now uploaded

Feeding or administration if medications through a misplaced NG tube is a "never event" with the potential for significant harm.


The NPSA and subsequent patient safety alerts confirmed this remains an ongoing issue.


In critical care NG tube placement must be confirmed using CXR.
